Show off your taste for fine craftsmanship and nature's beauty with these handcrafted cufflinks. Each pair is handmade from the most beautiful and rare woods and materials from around the world and is made one pair at a time by me, by hand, in my home shop. No templates, jigs, or fixtures are used in my creations, making each pair truly one of a kind.
Because woods vary greatly in color, figure, and texture, these are individually photographed and the exact item pictured will be the one you receive. They measure 3/4" square with a domed top shaped by hand on a lathe. The finding is sliver plated and swivels for easy use.
Cocobolo is a hard, dense, and oily wood that is almost as famous for the allergic reactions it can occasionally trigger in woodworkers as for its striking, multi-hued coloring. The allergic effects come solely from the dust created while working with the wood, not at all by handling the finished product. Cocobolo is quite heavy and dense, with a basic specific gravity usually ranging between 0.80 and 0.98. The wood's abundance of natural oils enhance its polishing and help make Cocobolo practically waterproof.
